Sam, fearing that Rebecca might go to jail, turns in Robin, who was planning a hostile takeover of the corporation that owns Cheers. The corporate bigwigs are so pleased, that they sell Sam the bar for one dollar. When Rebecca finds out that Sam was the one who turned Robin in, she thinks that it was only to get the bar back. However, Robin has skipped bail and skipped the country, and when she discovers this, turns to Sam for comfort.
