DIAMOND SAM

Sam and Diane announce to the gang at Cheers that they are engaged. Sam, unable to get the ring Diane wants, has Norm get a fake, but identical looking ring. However, Diane wants the ring appraised, so Sam buys the original ring and exchanges the two. But when Diane finds out that Sam purchased a paste ring, she thinks that the ring on her finger is paste, and in a moment of anger throws it the car window.

Meanwhile, Frasier has trouble getting Carla to accept the truth about Sam and Diane.
