After The Coach dies, Woody Boyd comes to Cheers to meet him, and follow his dream of being a big-city bartender. He's naive and clueless, but also genuine and caring.
In episode 159, "Golden Boyd", Woody meets Kelly Gaines and they start dating. Their relationship is full of problems, with Kelly being the rich daddy's girl, and Woody, well, is Woody. But all turns out well when they get married.
Woody is played by Woody Harrelson.
