Ted Danson plays Sam "Mayday" Malone, the owner (except for a few years) of Cheers. Before his work on Cheers, Ted appeared in two critically acclaimed movies, The Onion Field and Body Heat.
He's also appeared in Three Men and a Baby, Cousins and Made in America. Most recently, he was in the made-for-tv movie Gulliver's Travels with his wife, Mary Steenburgen. He also is starring oppposite her in his new CBS sitcom, Ink.
Ted is the founder of the American Oceans Campaign, an activist organization devoted to education about, and protection of, the oceans.
